SP13 questionaire

1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like? I like knitting with wool. an i hate to sound like i'm a wool snob, but i hate working with acrylic, even the best acrylic yarn out there still feels plasticy when compared with wool. i also hate mohair, like thin mohair. I love the feel of it, but i hate working with it.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in? i have this multi layered pouch thing, and various pencil holders through out the room.

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced? I have been knitting for two years, and some days. I learned from the Klutz knitting book how to knit, but purl I had a friend show me. the rest I learned online thru various knitting sites, it all started with craftster, and now ravelry. I am an intermediate knitter, i enjoy only luke warm hard projects that i'm ready to take on.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list? i used to have a wist, but i haven't updated it in awhile. I can create an Amazon wish list.

5. What's your favorite scent? i like Lavender, roses, flower smells.

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy? i like fruit candies, and the cheese snacks, and sometimes chocolate.

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin? I don't spin. Currently Knitting and Crochet is my focus. I'm a monogamist by heart.

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)i like popular music, and sometimes unpopular music. currently i'm listening to a lot of "easy" listening, like augustana and daniel pewter.

9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand? i like greens and blues, i guess i can't stand neon orange alone... anything too bright and clashy and ugly... but really ugly is in the eye of the beholder.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets? I have a fish. family situation? uh, unmarried.

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos? i knit lots of scarves and hats, as for wearing them... i hardly do, which i find really weird. I've taken lately to wear the fingerless gloves i've knitted, but i find it too hot and humid to wear my own knits yet.

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit? scarves and hats, easy to complete thing. i also enjoy afghans, but they take FOREVER!!!

13. What are you knitting right now? I am currently knitting another one row handspun with the Noro Kureyon and a surprise project for my HSKS6 swap.

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts? yes.

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic? I usually use my knitpicks options, but if those aren't around, i turn to my few bamboo needles.

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift? yes i have both.

17. How old is your oldest UFO? i can't think of it right now... maybe that pair of charades that i haven't finished knitting the toes for.

18. What is your favorite holiday? What winter holiday do you observe? my favorite holiday is christmas, although i don't celebrate it religiously, i do enjoy the present giving. I celebrate the Chinese New year.

19. Is there anything that you collect? i collect Blythes, lamb/sheepy things, i don't collect them, but i love sharpies.

20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have? I have a subscription to Interweave knits, and I sometimes buy knitting simple if i see it the bookstores. I'm curious about Yarn Harlot's newest book.

21. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn? i'm afraid of new techniques.

22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements? i have a size 6.5 feet. i can be a sock knitter, i have enough sock yarn stash to be a proper sock knitter, but the tiny needles... it always takes me awhile to knit one proper sock.
