Nothing like closing that last stitch on a sock to make you feel like you've just accomplished the coolest knit ever.
Tada!! I have a sock!! After Seven months, I finally have a sock. Of course this thing was hibernating for THE longest time, but out of pure boredom today, I broke it out to finish the sock. It might take me another 7 months to finish the other/matching pair.
Of course I made plenty of mistakes along the way... like doing the SSK and the K2tog wrong, so I may not be able to produce the exact matching pair, but no one stares too closely at your socks anyway. i don't remember all the glorious details that a knitter would care about, but it fits me and that's all that matters. Oh right. I love knitting with the Dream in Smooshy, its soft and smooshy like it's name.
I still have to work on making the Kitchener stitch ends look normal... the last stitch always looks funky. I think YH has a solution in her knitting rules books... I just need to re-read it.
Although I hate knitting socks, I love handknit socks!!
