FO: Charade Socks
The Charade sock is finished! 8pm today, Dec 22 2008. This sock was suppose to be mine, but then I felt that perhaps my mom will enjoy this pair of socks, she likes girly colors too. I showed her the WIP while I was home this weekend, and she seemed excited about it. I made her try on the first sock to make sure that it fits... I'm happy to be able to give her the socks when I go back in January.
I started this sock back in April 27 of this year. I was just going to call it a single sock, but then with the nudging of Lav's Holiday sock KAL, I thought why not... I love the finish look of it. Plus I'm not really bold enough to wear non-matching socks. The KAL was really what I needed to finish this sock. Thanks Lav.
Details. The yarn is Smooshy Charade, in the color ring-a ling, it's from Pick up sticks monthly sock club way back when, and I'm finally just knitting it up now. The Pattern is Charade by Sandra Park, and the actual completion time is April 27 thru Dec 22, 2008. Of course I did not spend the whole entire time kniting it, the first pair was in hibernation for a real long time. I knitted a many new things in between the time I started the sock, and before I pulled it back out again.
There are still small amounts of yarn left over, which I think might turn into a sock yarn blanket or something at a later time, for now, it shall just sit there in the sock bin.
Knitting socks isn't that hard... I just have to keep at it, this second pair took me only 20 days to knits, if this is any indication, I think I can knit up a full pair of socks in one month and a half at the rate i'm going... there will be lots of warm feet!!
Yay for Socks!!
