Hogwarts House Beanie

Ok... so I have sooo much yarn left over from the Hogwarts swap, and my next Hogwarts swap is supposedly Slytherin, sooo I'm thinking, I'll use the Gryffindor colors to practice for the next swap, so... there you go!!!!!

A Hogwarts Gryffindor PoA style Beanie. It's a little big for my head... I only really need to do like 13 rounds, but I did 14 rounds cuz the one row in the MC just looked not as right. I think if I'd make it for a person with a smaller head like mine, I'd just go ahead and shift up the rows one when the stripe changes begins. Maybe I'll send this to my gryffindor swap partner anyway, as a surprise. hehe.

I am mad for these Beanies... they are such quick crochets!! like 2 hours and BAM, one beanie!!

Yarn: Lanas Stop Dakar (70% Acrylic, 15% Mohair, 15% Wool, 100 grs, 124m/135yds) Col: #815 (the cranberry red.)

a japanese brand with a picture of a kitten on it (100% wool, 50g, 112m)

Clover #8 crochet hook.

You ARE fast! I'm still slogging away at my Ravenclaw PoA scarf (to "match" my husband's Gryffindor one that I actually did finish!). I do like those scarves, though -- they're in Jaeger Matchmaker DK, which I bought in Hong Kong.

Glad the yarn shops list has been helpful for you, too!
