This knit might be one of the first project I've participated since joining TKA years ago.
Instead of making it into the handwarmer per the knitting pattern, I chose to make mods to make it more of a cuff/sleeve, a la Toast.
For two reasons, one, I didn't feel like challenging myself with the thumb hole and two, I like extended sleeves as I find my clothes shrink in size and the length of the sleeve shrinks.
I chose to use BMFA's socks that rock in medium weight, colorway,
river rocked.
Although the pattern is an easy to remember 5 row rep, I continue to misconcentrate and mess up the pattern, I ended up frogging the second sleeve three or four times just so I can get the pattern repeat right. I normally am not too this meticulous, but it really bothered me leaving the pattern with a bit of mary flair, so I frogged without fear.
And I'm so glad I did.
The yarn frogged ok too. Even though I ripped and reknit it so many times. It was only a bit fuzzy, but still perfectly knitable. It's such a high quality yarn.
I still have plenty of yarn left, so hopefully it will be enough for a pair of matching socks.
